About J.J. Morgan

J. J. Morgan was born in a suburb of Saint Louis, Missouri, in 1940. He enlisted in the US Army in 1961 and served seventeen months in pre-Gaddafi Libya as a topographic surveyor, spending much of his time living in a tent in the Sahara Desert. The remainder of his tour was spent at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs. After leaving the army in 1964, he worked as a surveyor for the US Forest Service and the California Department of Transportation. Read more
